Bengal Tiger Cuisine Of India

Serving Seattle Indian Cuisine Since 1998

The Tale of the Tiger

The Tale of the Tiger

In 1997, Chef Muhammad Uddin took on the challenge of saving a struggling Indian restaurant in Seattle’s Roosevelt neighborhood. The task was not easy—overhauling the menu, remodeling the space, and regaining the trust of the community. By 1998, the doors reopened with a fresh vision, and Bengal Tiger Cuisine of India was born.
Our Roots in India and Beyond

Our Roots in India and Beyond

The menu at Bengal Tiger Cuisine of India reflects dishes from many regions across India. Madras Curry comes from the city of Chennai in Tamil Nadu, while Vindaloo dishes are inspired by the state of Goa. Chef Uddin’s family is from Bengal and Bangladesh, bringing Northeast Indian influences and homestyle recipes to the table.
